In January 1979, The New York Times reported that despite repeated, feverish denials, the CIA had indeed investigated the UFO phenomenon: "CIA Papers Detail UFO Surveillance" screamed the headline. The report is said to have so upset the then CIA director, Stansfield Turner, that he reportedly asked his staff: "Are we in UFOs?"
An article by Ellis Taylor documenting a series of bizarre incidents that occured to him in 2006.
"a bunch of canadian uni students make a circle ... just the one, about the size of the largest circles in 777, in the shape of the firefox logo. Despite marking it out in daylight in a flat field with a cad designed gps linked map, using gps locators, walkie talkies, surveyors measuring tapes, a plane and one helicopter ... and by my count over twenty people ... starting in daylight, then working at night under a full moon, using torches, theodolites and laser levels ... they worked right through the next day ... and the timer stopped being updated after 19 1/2
hours ... "

In about 2 weeks time the new issue of UFO Data Magazine will be available (order online). I've written them an article 'Dogged Days", that relates a series of very strange events that happened to me over a short period of time last year. One of the, quite frankly, very unnerving experiences has to do with an encounter with two black dogs. Browsing the excellent "The Daily Grail" news site earlier I found a link to a blog article written by author, Nick Redfern, "Black Dogs and UFOs". Rather timely, I thought, I'll link it.

An investigator of the Islington incident is seeking anyone, or anybody they know, who can give any idea of the speed these objects were travelling at?

Right when this was occuring Paul, a good friend, phoned me to describe what he was seeing. He was convinced that they were not the Chinese Lanterns that these types of objects are usually explained away as. He sent me this the next day (2nd Feb):
' A strange looking black, thick bodied helicopter appeared on the scene within minutes of the UFOs appearing and circled the area. There was also a visible increase in normal aircraft and I would suggest some large passenger planes were re-directed away from the formation in the sky. The UFO's were an extraordinary and very memorable sight' ~ Paul
